MAISON 60 / Our story
The Maison and its philosophy.
An independent Portuguese boutique, born from an enthusiast’s passion. New, pre-owned and vintage watches, thoughtfully selected and clearly presented.

It began with a watch enthusiast.
Before Maison 60 existed, there was a watch enthusiast. Someone whose interest in time went beyond hours and minutes: the shape of a case, the texture of a dial, the movement of a hand or the small ritual of winding a mechanical watch.
What began as an interest became a wish to understand. To learn references, recognise differences between calibres, compare proportions and discover what makes a watch feel right on the wrist. Each discovery brought new questions. That curiosity led Maison’s founder to decide to explore this world more deeply.
Maison 60 grew out of that step: from appreciating watches to wanting to understand them, choose them carefully and share that interest with others. The house began with an enthusiast’s eye, attentive to both the watch and the person who will wear it.
Curiosity became a Maison.
Turning a passion into a boutique brought a clear intention: to create a place where people could discover watches with time to understand them. An approachable house, with a considered selection and room to discuss what matters in each choice.
Our collection can bring together new, pre-owned and vintage watches. We are interested in what each piece offers: design, construction, character and suitability for everyday use. A carefully chosen first watch deserves as much attention as one that completes a collection.
Our focus includes mid-range watches and pieces that offer a thoughtful way into watch collecting. We want Maison to be a starting point for newcomers and a place to talk for those who already have their own references, preferences and experience.
The thinking behind each choice.
Choosing a watch begins with looking at the whole. Case proportions, dial legibility, calibre, materials and the way it sits on the wrist should make sense together. The brand and reference identify a watch; understanding it means looking at the details.
Condition is part of that assessment. On a pre-owned or vintage watch, signs of time may tell a story, but they need to be shown and described. With a new watch, its specifications, accompanying items and available warranty information matter.
Our aim is to present each piece as it is. This means distinguishing cosmetic condition from operation, separating a documented intervention from an unconfirmed detail and explaining characteristics that may influence a decision. That care guides both our selection and the way we present it.

Trust needs information.
Liking a watch is the beginning. Choosing it with confidence means understanding what you are looking at. We therefore value photographs, specifications, condition descriptions and accompanying items such as a box, papers or service records, where available.
The Maison 60 Passport brings that information together. An internal reference identifies the individual piece; its record organises specifications, described condition and known history. The conversation can then begin with concrete information and specific questions.
When a detail is unconfirmed, that should be clear. An incomplete history does not become a documented service, and a water-resistance rating does not replace information about a recent test. We believe transparency also lies in explaining the limits of what is known.
We want to do more than complete a specification sheet: we want to help people understand the watch. The Passport supports that intention and gives context to the choice.
Discover the Maison 60 PassportFrom one enthusiast to another.
Everyone comes to a watch by a different route. It might be a first mechanical piece, a purchase to mark a milestone, the search for a particular model or simply the wish to find something enjoyable to wear every day.
Our website is Maison’s showroom: a place to explore the collection, read about each piece and discover the Journal. Negotiation and personal assistance take place directly on WhatsApp, where you can ask questions, request details and discuss the watch you are looking for.
You do not need technical knowledge to begin. Your wrist size, routine, budget and personal taste are starting points as important as the name of a calibre. We want to listen first and help you understand the options, so the decision makes sense for you.
If the piece you want is outside our collection, tell us what you have in mind. A conversation can also help define a search with clear criteria.
Watches to be part of life.
Our relationship with watches continues after the choice. A watch benefits from attention to use, cleaning, maintenance intervals and signs that may call for a technical assessment. Understanding that care helps you enjoy the piece and preserve its operation.
This is also why the Journal exists. We share guides to movements, proportions, maintenance and possible faults, with explanations that help people ask better questions and recognise when to consult a professional. Learning is part of the pleasure of owning a watch.
Maison 60 is building its own story around this idea: choose carefully, explain clearly and build relationships through a shared interest. A watch may arrive new or carry a past. What excites us is the place it will find in your life.
